What is your cancellation policy?
Please make every effort to give at least 24 hours advance notice if you need to miss an appointment. Unfortunately, if you do not give this advance notice, you will be charged for the missed appointment because you are paying to reserve your therapist's time, which was set aside for you. Since insurance will not cover the costs of missed appointments, you will always be responsible for this charge.
In the case of inclement weather, your safety will always come first and the late cancellation charge will not be made.
If there are any financial issues, including our billing practices or your insurance coverage, please bring it to our attention as soon as possible. These issues can interfere with sessions and your progress in therapy, so we need to attend to them as openly and as quickly as possible.
Is my mental health care confidential?
Yes. We take your privacy serious. We adhere to State and Federal rules and regulations regarding client confidentiality.
What will happen at my first appointment?
We will focus on completing intake paperwork and rapport building and setting up a safe space for you. During this appointment we will talk about your current concerns and begin processing your path for treatment.
What if my provider is not a good fit for me?
If you feel you and your therapist relationship is not a good fit, we strongly encourage you to speak to your therapist. Your therapist will be happy to help you get connected with a better fit with, no judgement.
Am I going to be put on medication?
We are not a medication prescriber and will only refer clients out if your therapist determines that this is a necessary path to treatment.
